Internal Screen Covers

The main difference between an external and internal cover is that an internal cover will not stop condensation, while an external cover will prevent condensation completely.

No internal cover on the market can prevent condensation: as the cover is behind the glass, the glass is still cold and water will therefore condense on it. The only way we have found to prevent condensation is to use an external cover. We have enjoyed camping for over 20 years, and always use an external windscreen cover - especially in the wintertime.

Internal window covers are fixed to the windows of the van on the inside. This is particularly useful if they have to be removed frequently. We make sets of three covers for the windscreen and doors, as well as covers for the other windows.

We supply internal covers in sets of 3 - one for the windscreen and two for each door. The internal pads are usually held in place with large suckers, but Velcro can be supplied if preferred.

The pads are even easier to install than the external covers as it is not necessary to get out of the van, and of course they stay dry. Internal pads can be useful if you are not staying on a campsite and need to move during the night. The covers are highly insulative, keeping the van warm in winter and at night, and cool in summer.

Facing into the cab is a layer of breathable pvc, in the centre of the cover are layers of wadding, and facing outwards is a silver metallic polyester back as shown below.

This metallic back is is popular in Continental Europe; it is hard wearing and cannot be torn, and together with the layers of wadding this produces a very efficient cover. The side of the cover facing into the cab is grey, and is easily kept looking like new with an occasional wipe over. Covers are also available for side and back windows.
